Origami CD Case

This is a simple but useful idea.
I don't know how many times I've wanted something to put around a cd I was giving to someone and not had a good envelope. Now I can just use a regular sheet of paper and make one!
Or better yet print something cool on it and then make the case. :)
If you click on the graphic it will big enough to read.

Pac-Man Finds New, More Linear Maze

Our kind are alive and well in Buffalo, Minnesota. When a local county painted giant dots on the highways (for the safeties) our brothers finished the job by painting a giant Pac-Man to eat them. Well done. Check out the local article.

Light and Water Mixing Faucet

This right here is a good idea. A faucet that illuminates water according to temperature with blue light for cold and red light for hot. Really, shouldn't we have done this a long time ago? Thanks Giz.

ZOMG! New Transformers Movie Trailer!!!

This totally snuck up on me and am I ever excited it did! The new trailer for the live action Transformers movie just hit and it is fan-flipout-tastic! Kind of a little scary too, when a clip of video plays back like a live feed from the best parts of your imagination. Check it!

Breaking Newz: Line Rider Based Games Coming to Wii and DS

SO HAPPY!!! Read!

Orisinal Games are the Awesome

Someone on a forum posted about this Orisinal website and now I'm posting about it on my website. Because? It is a very good website. The Orisinal one. My website? 'salright.

I hope my Wii can play some of these games in a few days. That would be double fun put together!

Formal Apology

I just wanted to say that I'm sorry for any pain I may have caused by being so insensitive of late. It's been a really rough last couple of months not to mention this past week. *Chrissy and I got evicted and I lost my job =/* I've been stressed and I guess I took it out on everyone else. I know I don't see anyone that much anymore but I still felt like I needed to apologize. I hope someday we can all hang out again someday.

See you this weekend at the assembly.

Spin

How long can you spin?

I am up to 4 minutes.

Now it's 5 minutes.... I should stop...

but I just can't.

So I Was Playing Around with My Blog...

...just doing a little link updating and removing my adsense experiments when somewhere along the way I ended up moving the entire blog over to the "NEW" blogger (beta). So, in honor of this I have selected a new template. I like it. Other than that I haven't found much more to talk about. Blogger's post editor in Safari is still extremely basic so that's a bit of a let down. Oh, and it totally killed the commenter list but I think you all should have e-mails that tell you how to get back on board. That'll kind of clean out the "in-actives". Anyway, hope you all enjoy the new look. Comments please?

Wiish List Entry: 001

Just getting up from laying in bed, listening to music, I glanced at my media rack and noticed my cherished collection of Panzer Dragoon games. (The Panzer Dragoon series started on the Sega Saturn game console and is celebrated among video game critics as one of the finest; ground breaking depth in story telling along with compelling and truly unique game-play.) So I decided to start my own Wiish List if you will, with my first Wiish being for something that could take a few forms but is essentially pretty simple.

Nintendo: give us the Saturn again. It's time people finally get to play these games that never got a chance. You have a couple options. A) Update the Wii with Saturn Virtual Console support and post Saturn titles to the Wii Shop Channel. Problem here is that Saturn games were on CD. Even after changing the music to a newer compressed format, they would likely be much larger than is currently manageable. At least, with the current system that only allows channels on system memory to load. (SD cards are for backup only. Lame, I know!) B) Update the Disc Channel to load Saturn games. This would really be a part of the Virtual Console because it would make use of another solid, Sega-owned-BIOS-ROM-file-based, emulator. But since the games would still be on their original discs, no new channels would be added for each one like we have with the other Virtual Console emulations. But then how do people get these games? Why, by buying new prints of them order-able on the Wii Shop Channel! Setup pre-orders Nintendo, and you could even get an advanced look at demand to base your print amounts on.

Either option would make me happy because option A means they have to finally improve the state of channel managing and option B means I can just use the Saturn games I already own. Anyway, that's my first Wiish for this new feature? hopefully to contain the many things I hope Nintendo will eventually do with this Wii platform they've made.

Invincible Speed Demos

I had fun today finishing this little video and while I'm excited to post it on the internet I have a sinking feeling I've made fun of more than one of these mashup things before. Regardless, the end pays off for me so I hope someone else will enjoy it. Speed run footage from speeddemosarchive.com. Song titled "Invincible" by Muse. Put up the original format on filefront.
Edit: Also uploaded a Wii Photo Channel compatible version.

DANG DANG DANG DANG DANG!! May 4, 2007 I am at the movies! MAN that looks good!

Muse LiveChat

I'm not sure if it's actually live or not, but I was just cruising the web on my break at work and thought I'd look up Muse. Turns out there's some kind of live chat going on right now where the band members answer some rather strange questions from fans like "If there were a face off between chewbacca and David Hasslehoff, who would win?" So if you just happen to catch this post around 10:30 PST skip on over to theMuse website and check it out.

Wii Camp Out?

There's a question you've got to ask yourself: You gonna camp out, punk? I want to! I finally have secured the cash required to get my Wii and I was curious who's gonna be kicking it at Toys 'R Us through the night? Please get back with me soon so we can work out when we're gonna go.

D-Pad :: Pwning Noob Blogs Across the Web

That's right, I heard the requests, nay, the cries for a new blog. Never you worry poor Divertissmentz (Wiivertissementz ?) goers, for your prayers have been answered with the new and not really improved blog created yours truly. It's name? D-Pad. Original? Maybe not. Awesome? Definitely. Also, it comes from Vox, a very neat and easy to use blog service. I think we can create our long desired Podcast with it, but I haven't quite figured it out yet, so give me a little time and we'll have our podcast up and going in no time. With Frank's help of course! And maybe some Chris', but only if they can behave and be constructive. *It can be hard sometimes, I know* =P Just kidding. Anyways, enjoy the new blog and let me know what you guys think. By the way, for those of you who have been desiring of one, there will be an "after the jump". *I LOVE YOU VOX!!* If you know what that is, you'll obviously be relieved we'll no longer have anymore incidents like that oh-so-annoying Zelda post we had a couple days ago. If you don't know what it is... well you'll just find out I guess. Enjoy!

New Smash Bros: Brawl Footage

The Super Smash Bros: Brawl trailer was just released at Nintendo World Tour in Nagoya, Japan earlier today. There's no new character revealed other than what's already been seen, however the footage they do show is apparently in-game. Was that a destructable map I saw? Oh buddy you betcha! Not only that, but I really like how they're showing the combo moves and actual fighting as opposed to special CGI moves that don't actually happen in-game. Looks like most of the new players are really fast, especially metaknight. I'm assuming this might mean more twitch response which is great! Oh yeah, Enjoy the video! Sorry, I tried to find a GooTube video, but I couldn't find one and blogger won't let me put a Game Trailers script in, so you gotta visit the site. Sorry for the inconvenience.

Wiivertissementz: Hidden Awesome Videos at Wii.com

Iwata Asks is a little mentioned but info packed feature tucked away into the oddly redundant and less useful wii.nintendo.com that relayes a heart warming pow-wow between many of Nintendo's top creative minds. The latest part (linked to above) is the first time they've included videos to help explain just what they're talking about, and some of them are really interesting. Highlights include some stunning Wii Boxing action that looks far more intense than most would have imagined out of little boxing dolls and a video spotlighting the unique abilities granted to Wii Bowlers by the way of antics normally frowned upon by real world bowling alley proprietors. Keep it in your own lane people.

EBX to have Wii !!

It has been confirmed, EBX at Washington Square Mall will have their Wii kiosk up and running on Monday! You bet your socks and bottom dollar that I'll be utilizing my hour lunch at that kiosk. See all you guys there! Woo hoo! Fanboi FTW!!

Nintendo World Starts Tomorrow!

That's right guys! Nintendo exclusive expo in Nagoya, Japan. Very exciting stuff is going tomorrow. 88 new games will be shown at the expo 44 for the Wii and 44 for the DS. The list is immense and exciting to put it lightly. The most exciting of which *for this humble blogger, at least* is the new Super Smash Bros: Brawl footage. Rumor has that at the very least they will be showing one of the levels and actual character battles, and at the most they will be showing at least one new character. *As previously posted*

Other games that will be being showcased include Mario Party 8 (Wii), Pokemon Battle Revolution (Wii), Picross DS, Sim City DS, and Phoenix Wright 4(DS). Stay tuned for play by play Expo news!

Just watch...

Cheoptics360: The Future is here

I know Engadget already posted something about this, but this is stinking cool and deserves repeating. It seems a Danish team of scientists have put together a 4 sided transparent pyramid that will display 3d images. Now, given the video, I don't see any really convincing proof that they are showing actual 3D images and not just 2d images that you can see form 360*, but if they instituted some kind of angling alogorithim or something into the pyramid that would be cool. Difficult, I'm sure, but if they can make this thing I'm sure coming up with some code is within their capable grasp. Either way, the video is impressive and at least worth a look-see.

Zelda: Twilight Princess Wii Experience Vids

Alright, I'll admit that the idea of a new Zelda will get any fan tingling with excitement. And when we heard that Twilight Princess was being ported over to the Wii, that sounded cool. They showed us some neat "depth of sound" bits with the bow and arrow. But it was everyone's understanding *or at least my understanding* that the swordplay and most combat manuever would steal be a button mashing experience free for all just like all the other zelda games. But, it seems, this was *thankfully* an incorrect assumption. That's right, The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess features sword swinging action and everything. You can even defend yourself with your shield with a flick of the nunchuck and everything! Much better than button mashing in my opinion. Combine that with the depth of sound stuff, the intuitive use of the bow and arrow and possibly the boomerang... Whew, I get flustered just thinking about it. The Wii just keeps on looking better and better everytime they release something more. Also , Nintendo just released the titles that will be coming out this year for the Wii. Which ones will be available at launch are still to be seen. The VC seem to be an obvious choice for launch titles as well as Zelda, other than that it's pretty much anyone's guess.

Wacko Jacko Digs his own Grave... again!

I usually don't really care about Jack Thompson or whatever crap happens to coming out of his pie hole this week. But this letter... wow, I mean really... just wow. He has seriously gone off the deep end with this one.

Dear Judge Friedman:

You had a fun day today doing what you do best: Holding forth about how much the Third District Court of Appeal admires you and calling me "two-faced." All in a day's work for you. It was hard to get a word in edgewise today, Your Honor, what with your calling yet another hearing that never happened and then summoning the "Sheriff's deputies" (we don't have a Sheriff in Miami-Dade County, but that's just a mere detail that a Judge can't be expected to know) to intimidate me into shutting up in your modern-day Star Chamber.

You summoned everyone to your feet today to announce you had filed a Bar complaint against me. Judge, get in line, baby. Take-Two's lawyers at Blank Rome were ahead of you on this. But feel honored. You're now part of a gathering that includes Howard Stern's lawyers and a gay rights lawyer who admits in court filings he does drugs illegally. I'm sure you're proud.

You went on at great length today, wasting everyone's time in your captive audience, professing your bewilderment about how I practice law. Here's a tip for you, Judge: I don't just practice law. I save lives from reckless jurists like you. I've sat with families whose loved ones are dead because of cowardly judges like you, whose family members were trained on violent video games to kill them. I have sat in jail cells with boys who killed people, trained to kill on murder simulators that you insist upon calling, even again today, "tapes that I reviewed." They're CD-ROM's, Judge, not that you would know or care. I serve those broken-hearted people, not arrogant tyrants like you.

In your little controlled world you can insulate yourself from all of this tragedy. You don't care about the body count out there, in Paducah, in Littleton, in Jonesboro, at Dawson College in Montreal, and even at Southwood Elementary School in Miami in which Michael Hernandez trained to kill on Take-Two's Grand Theft Auto game. You don't care about these broken hearts and shattered lives. You have your own ego to feed.

You smugly hold forth about the safety of a game that you lied about fully reviewing, that you promised to have a hearing on and did not, and that you greenlighted to be sold to ten-year-olds in America. Two national experts--one on the dangers of violent video games (Dr. David Walsh), and one in bullying (Dr. Barbara Coloroso) who have in the last few days warned Americans that Bully is indeed a Columbine simulation trainer. The head of all schools in Palm Beach County today warned parents about the game that you unleashed on their kids. But of course you know more about public school education than these life-time educators, right, Judge?

You don't care because you don't have a teen in a school as I do. You're in your cloistered office protected by people with guns enjoying the perks of feeding at the public trough, paid to call today what amounted to a press conference to crow about what a highly-regarded jurist you are. Here's a news flash, Judge: You're not as respected as you think you are by lawyers, because you have the touch of a blacksmith and the courtesy of a nightclub bouncer.

I am a lot of bad things, but I am not a liar. You are. You promised and ordered hearings that never occurred, and you even told the nation you reviewed a video game that you didn't even see but for 1% of it. You then came out before the cameras and pronounced the game perfectly safe. You're the kind of guy who would wave into an intersection a child to be run over by a semi.

I am looking forward to my judicial race against you, and win or lose, you are going to be exposed as the prevaricator and facilitator of violence and porn to kids that you are.

You will never agree to a debate in our race, because you can't control that situation. You won't have a "Sheriff" to shut me up. America is a great place where citizens get to cleanse the public dole of thugs like you. I'm looking forward to doing just that.

Regards, Jack Thompson

The Mac to Pwn all Macs!

Do you get tingles down your spine everytime you think about going into your local Mac store and fondling the keyboard of one of those oh-so-beautiful Dual Core G5? Do you start to drool to think about plaing with one of those sweet Quad core setups? Well get ready to enter Mac Heaven! Apple has announced that they have plans to release a Dual Quad Core Mac. Ridiculous? I think so. I can't wait to see what they name it: Octo-Mac? Mac OS Xi: Octopus ? Fun stuff.

Either way, just consider the raw power this sucker could pump out. Imagine rendering a lifelike 3d image, in real time! Whoa! I can't even start to imagine that kind of stuff without glazing over just thinking about the ridiculous numbers you would be hearing. I'd be curious to find out how they manage the hand shaking processes. The amount of handshaking would have to be absurd, and will certainly bring down your overall processing power in the long run. When do reach that point of diminishing return? Or a different angle: Are we on the verge of seeing processors with virtually no handshaking lag at all? My god, the power of an dual quad-core set up if there were no limitations on how the talk to each other. Whoa! I think my head just exploded...

Getting Excited about the Wii

The more I see stuff like this pop up, the more I get excited about the Wii. I'm not even a Madden fan but boy oh boy does that look fun! Something really cool about being able to stiff arm a guy or run with the ball or actually throw the ball, that's really cool! I can't wait for Nov. 19 to get here! Camping out at Toys 'R Us fer sure!

Delicious Crysis Screenies

So these screenshots have been making the rounds on the internet. I really don't keep track of PS3 or even 360 news all that much unless something really big is coming out that is seemingly unavoidable, however these screenshots... just wow. Typically, I'm not a graphics junkic; But, I mean... wow. If this is the kind of thing that's being released at launch for the PS3, then we are in for some truly jawdropping graphics. My only fear is that the line between video game and movie will continue to blur to the point of no distiction. I truly hope that doesn't happen.

6G iPod... Is this Awesome? ( Y / N )

An "extremely well-informed exec" tells Trusted Reviews that the 6G iPod will be released in December, and it will be capable of 480p resolution. The source confirmed that it will be a touchscreen model with virtual click wheel control, but made no mention of whether wireless connectivity would be part of the package. Added the source, "This is why Jobs isn't afraid of the Zune."

We've seen the iPod touchscreen patent documentation, and we've entertained countless rumors and even reliable tips about the upcoming device; what we need to see now is a real picture of it. One thing's for sure, if this widescreen iPod is released in the next two months, the Microsoft Zune with its old-fashioned 4x3 screen and crippled WiFi will be slam-dunked.

Apple to announce iPhone soon?

Rumors of Apple bringing a cellphone to the market are about as old as Stonehenge, but a juicy tidbit is starting to make the rounds. That is, reports (well, Think Secret sources) indicate that Apple will bring not one, but two (2!) cellphones to the market in the next few months. This second, "new" phone will most likely be a smartphone, with a full keyboard and Wi-Fi capability. (The other cellphone is rumored to be a candybar with a 2.2-inch display and a 3-megapixel camera. Of course, it'll be compatible with iTunes.)

In all likelihood, come MacWorld in January, plenty of people will be looking for Apple to finally—officially—reveal the damn cellphone already.

"Banned" Xbox Commercial

Quite possibly the funniest commercial I've seen in quite some time. I guess I can understand why it would "banned", but I really don't think it's that bad. It seems that Microsoft is pretty notorious for coming out with politically incorrect advertising. Though all the ones I've seen are actually rather clever. This one and even the one with the baby growing into a boy into a man into an old man and then finally falling into his grave. I thought that was pretty good symbolism. At least for a gaming company...

Wii Pre orders announced!

Oh ya baby! WORLD EXCLUSIVE AND FIRST! EB Games will be accepting preorders for the Wii on October, Friday the 13th. *creepy!* Oh ya and you heard it hear first on Divertissementz! Rock on baby! Rock on! Also, it's a smokin $50 to prereg!

Michelin Develops Crazy Airless Tires

All I can really say is that if these things are for real, I totally want one! I mean seriously, if the tweel is even remotely within my price range, you may very well see me scooting around with these on my car, because I cannot tell you how many times I have had to change my tires for one reason or another. They're not the coolest looking tires, nor do they have a name that I would readily repeat, but the idea is pretty neat, I like it.

Portal Gameplay Video

So holy cow! I am so looking forward to this game it's ridiculous. My only wish is that it comes out for PC as well as Xbox 360, because I to try it out so bad! I love puzzle games, and even though I don't play them anymore, I really like how FPS games work. *Yes, I once was a Halo player, as most of you know* Portals gives the best of both worlds minus the ridiculous amounts of violence. I would not hesitate to say that I am looking forward to Portals just as much as I am looking forward to Spore!

Wireless Video iPod

Okay, so I'm not typically one to get overly excited about rumors, especially when it comes to Apple products. But this sounds pretty cool, and is really what I've been waiting for with the iPod. *I may actually buy one!* Turns out that some trusted sources have come out to say that Apple is just about done with the wireless/video iPod. Rumor has it, Apple will be announcing it's release in the very near future. Perhaps before the year is out! Oh boy oh boy! It's Showtime !!

Wii Bii Alergic to Sunlight

That's right! You heard first here on Divertissementz: the Wii is alergic to sunlight. (read: ... first at joystiq...) Unfortunately it is true. What ends up happening is the sensor that you place on top (or bottom) of your television set is senstive of certain lights, namely UV in this case. So if you have in direct sunlight or perhaps even a halogen lightbulb, your Wii will go limp. *sorry couldn't resist* Fortunately, most gamers are actually half mole, half vampire and tend to stay secluded in dark rooms and basements. Therefore making this "problem" not such a big deal!

Get Out?..... and Walk!??!

Yes! It's good for you! :-D
I am here to thank Frank and Timothy and a few others for getting out and walking on Sunday! Thanks for coming down to see me finish the PDX Marathon guys! :) *hugs*
If you want to read more about the Marathon check here.

Renault Concept Multimedia (?!) Car

Do you remember that commercial that aired not so long ago that just showed some car driving around some curves and the guy with deep voice says in his oh-so-sexy way, "When does a car, become MORE than a car?" Usually, I would just roll my eyes and flip the channel, realizing that they added heated seats and an ipod port to a car. Woohoo! How "edgy" of you Toyota, congrats.

It seems however, that I have found the line where indeed a car may be considered more than JUST a car. I give you the Renault Twingo Concept Car. (see Picture) This car is very much directed towards younger people with music on the brain. The centre console sports a USB port as well as socket for your iPod and Nokia Smartphone. It has a mixing deck built into the dashboard! Why or when you would actually have need for that, I have no idea but it's cool either way. The central part of the dashboard has an analog speedopmeter which rests above a 15-inch retractable, folding monitor which, for safety reasons, can only be deployed when the car is at a standstill. Behind the screen are all the functions of a computer that permit passengers to log on to the internet, while a web cam is incorporated into the screen to remain in visual contact with the outside world. On top of all this when the car is at a stand still you get a pretty pretty light show; basically the car is bathed in a blue, high tech looking glow. When you actually turn the car on initially, and the engine starts up, the light goes Renault Yellow. Weird ya? Also, the seats have individual headphone jacks so you each passenger can listen to his or her own music. *RIDICULOUS!!* OH and I forgot to mention that it also has a 6 can holder tray that actually cools your drink while it's in the holder! This, my friends, is one smoking car... club.... thing.

Divertissementz Podcast?

I've gotta start this post by saying that this really has nothing to do with current goings-on. Though, I plan on posting something about current goings on shortly.
So, basically all I do all day at work is ... aside from doing my work... listen to different podcasts, such as Chatterbox, World of Warcast, Penny Arcade every so often, etc. And, I must say, that most of them are pretty good and a fair amount of people do actually listen. In fact, I think it's fair to say that podcasts are quickly becoming the new radio. It seems as though, not only is it informative and fun for the listener; it seems to me that a lot of people who actually do the podcasts have a lot of fun in the process and make a little money on the side.
Please bear in mind that I am NOT proposing this as a secondary means of income. On the contrary, I think it may actually cost us more than it pays. But I think it would be fun for us to try something new and it would be a lot of fun. All of us seem to have some cool things to say about gaming and technology goings on and we're certainly savvy enough to through together a podcast every month or so. Anyway, I was just thinking about that and thought I might toss it out there. Consider it or don't, I think it could be a fun little experiment.

Apple Throws Up the Horns; For U2?

Apple cult theorists can add one more adorable proverbial feather to their otherwise corporal caps when word spreads about a certain easter egg I found tucked into a button below a spinning visage of the remade U2-style iPod. (Click the word "spin" in the last sentence of main text and then click the button with the hand on it.) At first I wondered if perhaps Apple had always presented its web-site's viewers with satanic hand gestures as part of the user interface but further investigation revealed that this was something they reserved only for their most "rocking" of products. At least, for their U2 iPod anyway./snooty snoot snoot

Nintendo Wii - $250 on Nov. 19 CONFIRMED WOO HOO!!

It's official! Nintendo released the official date and price of the Wii! I'm so excited! Not only did they announce the price of the console itself but also the price of the virtual console games and the new wii titles. NES games will be $5, SNES games will be $8, and N64 Games will be $10. Wii console games will be $49.99. ** Woo Hoo!!** And there will be roughly 30 games for the Wii by the end of the year, including Zelda: Twilight Princess, Excite Truck, Trauma Center, Elebits, Rayman, Far Cry, Red Steel, Avatar, and Super Monkey Ball.

Also, the Wii will launch with Wii Sports included in the box, you know, those games like Wii Golf, Tennis, Flying... thing, etc.... Whatever anyway, it's been so long since a console release I forgot how exciting it is. Oh, Nintendo, how we long for thee!

Knit Converse!

My knitting nerdyness is showing again, but I don't care!
These are so cool! I have always loved Allstars.
And I dunno anybody that has had a pair without at least a few custom modifications, even if it's just a doodle.

Very creative indeed!

And from where else but craftster

It's Showtime!

Apple rocks!! Nuff said. Just watch! New iPods, new headphones, incredible new iTunes stuff and much much more. Watch it, just do it! Oh yeah, One Last Thing... iTV!! Granted I don't have a big screen, but this thing looks pretty neat!

Fun new toy! Meez Avatars

One of my favorite things about most of the video games I have played is making my avatar! :D

Now I can just make the avatars without having to sink tons of time into actually playing a game. hee hee

Here is my first creation.

Zelda Sweater

This is one sweet sweater!

Here it is at the half-way point.

And here we see the finished piece.
The red text is Japanese for Legend of Zelda.

This was found on Craftster, of course! ;-)

Time Fountain

So my long hiatus has finally paid off. That's right, I simply couldn't post until something absolutely show stopping surfaced and there it is, right up there. Enjoy.

User Report for the Nike+ ipod

This new toy was manufactured for me.
1. I already had a nano.
2. I run often with my nano.
3. I already use an online running log to keep track of my runs.
4. I love to know my pace, mileage, and time, but I hate doing math while I'm running.
5. I love toys!
I used the sport kit for two weeks before my shoes came in the mail. From the box the sensor was only off .03 miles per mile for my running stride.
If you run 3-5 miles at a time, you might not even bother to calibrate it.
I am training for a marathon. So, that made it about .5 miles off for my whole run.
I got the shoes before my last long run and decided to finally calibrate the sensor.
Once I did, the mileage was exact. I was impressed. :-)
From what I could tell, the sensor worked just fine without the special shoes.
I attached it to my old running shoes with adhesive velcro. It worked fine.
That being said, I love the new shoes. I didn't get the flagship nike+ shoes. I got the ones best for distance runners, Air Max Moto+. I like not having to think about the sensor.
If want to stick with your old shoes there are some awesome ways to outfit your sensor,
obligatory craftster plug! ;)

In short, if you have a nano and you like running ~ Get this new toy!

Truer Words Were Never Spoken.

As many of you have heard, E3 2k7 has been cancelled. It is a sad, sad day. Penny-Arcade has chosen to remember this day through comic. Let us have a moment of silence...

Sock Wars!!!

This is funny! This takes crafting exchanges to a new level. *g*
A regular craft exchange (for those that have never heard of this) involves signing up and getting a patner to trade some sort of crafted item with.
This is a crafting war! To win you have to make your socks and send them before you get a pair. Once you recieve a pair of socks you are a "fallen comrade" and out of the game.

Check out Yarn Monkeys blog to get all the details.

In fact it kind of reminds me of a new video game I just heard of called The Ship .

Live in fear.... Kill or be killed... or is it knit socks or don't knit socks.... ;-)

Cool Handmade ipod thingies

I thought I'd chime in with a few of the neat ipod holders/cozies I have seen out there.
We all know that few electronic devices have spawned as many accessories as the ipod.

If you do actually need something to put your ipod in, the choices available are a little daunting. :)

Here is the coolest ipod thingie ever... only it's for the obsolete shuffle. :(
It is almost cool enough to buy a shuffle just so you can have this holder. You can read a little about it in English at Yanko Design but these little guys are handmade in Japan by Temas
I hope they make a version for the Nano! :)

This handmade case is made from recycled truck tires and looks very functional it's from Solio
And of course, I have got to have at least a couple of cute things from Craftster . I love this little turtleneck sweater for the nano. And here is an ipod cover after my own heart.

You just can't help but say Awwwww!!! This cutie is available at Etsy.
