Apple Following Microsoft's Lead?

In a disturbing twist of computer industry narrative it appears Microsoft actually came up with something before Apple. So what does Apple do about it? The same thing Microsoft always does: they make a lame rip-off. By now everyone has heard of Microsoft's uninteresting (to me anyway) Origami project. Well, the only thing about the little shrunken tablet that perked my heed was there twin thumb qwerty arcs that appear on both lower sides of the touch screen, presumably whenever one is at a field for the alphanumeric data insertion. Apparently Apple felt the same way and decided to combine both arcs into one and patent it. Way to go Apple. One more step to mass-appeal mediocrity.
