I don't completely understand how this works but I didn't invent it so that's not surprising. What is surprising are the implications brought on by software that can create 3D models from your everyday photographs. Now all we need is some kind of good 3D display and even old films could be new again and 3D! Yay?

This is cool, but I'm still looking forward to when they can turn this into Holograms. Now THAT would be neat! Speaking of holographic technology
